Intercept Echo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

This policy describes the mobile game Intercept Echo, published by Nelson Grey, LLC ("we," "our," "us"). It does not cover Nelson Grey's consulting services or the rest of nelsongrey.com — see our general privacy policy for that.

1. No account, no backend

Intercept Echo has no account system of its own and no server. There is nothing for us to store about you, because nothing you do in the game is sent to us.

2. Information the game touches

2.1 Platform sign-in

On iOS, the game asks you to sign in to Game Center before your first puzzle, so it can save your progress to your device and, in the future, submit scores to Game Center's leaderboards. That sign-in is handled entirely by Apple through GameKit — we never see your Apple ID, email, or password, and we do not receive a copy of your Game Center identity from Apple.

2.2 Gameplay data

Your settings, difficulty choice, and campaign progress are saved only in local storage on your device. We have no server to send this data to, so we never see it, and it never leaves your device except as part of your own device or iCloud backups.

2.3 Advertising

Free play is supported by Google AdMob, which shows a banner ad on menu screens and an occasional interstitial ad between rounds. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve ads. On iOS, we show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before requesting that identifier — if you decline, you still see ads, just not ones personalized to you. In the European Economic Area and UK, a consent form appears before any ad request, per the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.

AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can review or reset your ad tracking choice at any time in your device's Settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).

2.4 In-app purchase

The game offers a single one-time purchase, "Remove Ads," that turns off advertising permanently. That purchase is processed entirely by Apple's App Store — we never see or store your payment details, and receive only a confirmation from Apple's StoreKit that the purchase was made.

2.5 Analytics and crash reports

We do not currently collect gameplay analytics or crash reports of any kind. If that changes in a future version, we will update this policy first and describe exactly what is collected.

3. How this information is used

The only things the game does with anything above are: keep your progress and settings on your device, show ads if you have not purchased ad removal, and unlock the ad-free experience if you have. We do not sell data, because we do not collect any to sell.

4. Children's privacy

Intercept Echo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — indeed, we do not collect personal information from anyone, since the game has no backend. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information some other way, contact us at support@nelsongrey.com and we will look into it.

5. Your choices

Because your gameplay data lives only on your device, you control it directly: uninstalling the app removes it. To manage or revoke Game Center access, use your device's Settings → Game Center. To manage ad tracking, use Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. To manage your Apple ID and any data Apple itself holds, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party services

  • Apple — Game Center sign-in and leaderboards, App Store purchases
  • Google AdMob — mobile advertising

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continued use of the game after a change means you accept the update.
